It was in this chapter that everything finally started to make sense for me and i was really able to enjoy what I read.
Pilate is by far my most favorite character. I love love the quote about her that said without ever leaving the ground she could fly. To me this sums up her whole life, she lived it the best she could and she still stayed humble, even wishing that she could have known more people because she would have loved them all. I cannot believe that Guitar killed her. She is the last person in this book that i would think he would feel the need to kill.
Milkman really changed alot no longer drives me absolutley crazy. through all of the things he lesrned he was finally able to fly. i finally understand what the whole flying theme means. at first i thought that it was literall flying, which it still is, but it is also spiritual. Flying is a way to escape. Flying is peace. I think it is kind of ironic that flying often symblolizes life but it was at the moment that Milkman died that he was finally flew. I am glad that Milkman is finally able to at peace with himself.
I like that the ending of this book is sort of bitter sweet because that is how lfe really is. I think that there is a message in here about how even once you can cometo terms with your self you still have to live with the consequences of your past actions. I guesss that i am happy for first corinthians but i wish that Porter wasnt part of the Seven Days cult. Actually, does it ever mention what happened to the seven days? I dont think it does.
since this is the last chapter of the book this must be my last blog posting. so sad. :( actually that is a lie because i am quite happy about being done to tell you the truth. :) hahahahha
